So yesterday I took a trip to the baking shop. The result: some seriously cool cupcakes. Free with a nice and relaxed Safia. I mean really, what's more therapeutic than spending your afternoon staring at masses of icing and other colourful, enticing baking tools? No?
On my ventures I purchased a lovely chunk of Sugarpaste (which, by the way, smells ah-mazing), along with other fun baking gizmos to experiment with. I then spent the whole day decorating my vanilla cupcakes. I thought it would be a nice idea to make one for each member of the family: a teapot for mum, a bottle of wine for dad, a cloud for brother número uno, a guitar for brother número dos, and a mini cupcake for my sister-in-law. Other decorations included rainbows, hearts and bows (I know, I've been watching too much New Girl...)
These are by far my favourite cupcakes to date, and definitely the most fun to make. Click to see more photos of each. Until next time!
